Australian registered mental health charity Drive Against Depression (DAD) is humbled to be the charity partner for the inaugural Newspress Australia Awards.

The gala event, which will celebrate Australia’s motoring journalists and OEM PR teams by recognising exceptional performance, will be held at Sydney’s exclusive Intercontinental Hotel on Friday April 19th.

“Newspress has been a strong supporter of our mental health mission for many years,” said DAD Co-Founder, Sarah Davis.

“They have provided us with a platform to spread our message to an incredible, influential network. Many of these people have subsequently attended our events, conducted interviews, written features and donated funds to further highlight what we stand for: mental wellness through the freedom of driving.

“A big thank you must go to the Newspress Australia team, who came to us early in the event’s development to invite us on board. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, building new relationships and raising vital funds to meaningfully impact our community,” she said.

Drive Against Depression also has the honour of presenting the award for ‘Rising Star Journalist of the Year’. This award is close to the DAD team’s heart with Founder Adam Davis starting his career as an automotive journalist and now-established journalists James Wong and Zak Adkins in DAD ambassadorial roles.
