Lake Mountain Sprint – ATRC Tour 23 – 24 March 2019

With spirited driving from Marysville to the summit of Lake Mountain and to Cumberland Junction, Lake Mountain Sprint continues the 2018 DAD Australian Tarmac Rally Championship Super Sprint Series in spectacular style. Only two hours drive from Melbourne, Marysville is a welcoming country town that all crews enjoy visiting.

Drive Against Depression is privileged to be the official charity partner of the ATRC Touring Super Sprint and is inviting drivers to participate in the TOUR CATEGORY with us. This is ideally suited to those with standard road cars and little/no prior rally or race experience. There are no minimum car specification requirements – if you love driving it, that’s all you need.

Bring your road car and drive the stages at your pace, within your comfort level. The Tour category is about enjoying the driving experience – no judgements here.

The experiences and inclusions of the weekend are many and varied, some of which are:

✅A unique closed road driving experience in Victoria’s alpine region
✅Full safety measures in place from Racesolutions Motorsport
✅Non competitive
✅200+ kms over the weekend
✅Saturday dinner included
✅Driver’s briefing and coaching provided on Friday
✅Vehicle decals and RallySafe device included
✅Easy to get to from Melbourne

✅$850 for the full weekend, + $50 extra for a passenger/co-driver

💙💰For every Tour entry through Drive Against Depression the organisers are donating $250. That’s a generous contribution, for which we’re very grateful. And it doesn’t cost you a dollar more to support our important mental health cause.

Participation requirements:

– Registration through this page
– Road registered vehicle
– Helmet
– AASA Club Racing licence (can be purchased online from AASA)
– Smiles (though these are not usually too hard to find)

The tour category is speed limited to 130km/h (plenty for a lot of fun – trust us). Your car will go through scrutineering, which at the touring level is focused on roadworthiness and some basic safety checks.

There’s a maximum of two occupants permitted in the car, which means you can bring a co-driver if you’d like to share the experience with a mate.

There’s also radio contact between the cars and plenty of humour to go around. There is also plenty of time to relax in the evenings, so you can regale other DAD entrants with how just how hard the tarmac rally bug has bitten.

And if you’ve been feeling blue, there is no better way to blow out the fog – it’s like our regular road drives, but amplified to 11!

Let’s finish the season with a tonne of fun, and smash the stigma around mental illness too.

Please feel welcome to contact us with any queries.

We look forward to sharing this experience with you!
